Amethyst Bracelet

Amethyst is quartz that grew with a trace of iron in its lattice, then sat near natural radiation long enough for that iron to change how it absorbs light. Purple is the result. It is also why amethyst is one of the most abundant coloured stones on earth rather than a scarce one — Brazil and Uruguay alone produce it by the tonne. We would rather tell you that than sell you rarity you are not getting.

What this material has is colour. Deep, saturated, and matched bead to bead across each strand. Look closely and you will find zoning — paler and darker regions inside a single bead, laid down as the crystal grew and preserved when it was cut across. Wall-to-wall uniform purple at this price usually means heat treatment or dye. This is neither, and the zoning is the evidence.

Five bead sizes, and they are not the same object at different scales. At 8 mm the strand reads as colour on the wrist and little else. By 14 mm each bead is large enough that the zoning inside it becomes something you look at — the strand stops being a colour and starts being five or six individual stones.
