Amethyst & Citrine Crystal Tree, Glass Bowl — 12 Branches

A wire tree carrying 108 polished crystal chips across twelve branches — amethyst and yellow quartz mixed through the canopy — set in a clear glass bowl filled with more yellow chips. Two small gold-tone tags hang from the branches, stamped 招财 and 纳福: invite wealth, receive good fortune.

The form is Chinese: a small crystal tree on a desk or shop counter as a standing wish that things go well. It is a wish, not a mechanism, and we pass it on as one.

Said plainly: the purple chips are amethyst. The yellow chips, in the canopy and in the bowl, are sold as citrine, and at this price citrine is amethyst that has been heated until the colour turns gold — the same quartz, and a long-standing, ordinary treatment. The branches are copper wire, twisted by hand. The bowl is glass.

Twelve branches make a fuller canopy than our six-branch tree. The wire is soft and usually arrives pressed together from shipping — spread the branches gently with your fingers. That is expected, not damage.
