Green Strawberry Quartz Bracelet — 8.5 mm

Sold in the trade as green strawberry quartz, by analogy with the pink kind: quartz that takes its colour from fine mineral inclusions rather than from the quartz itself. Here the inclusions are green. Look closely and each bead holds a scatter of darker specks and short fibres in a translucent, sea-green body. Mineralogically it sits next to aventurine.

The beads are not uniform, and that is the material rather than a flaw: some are an even soft green, a few run paler with a milky patch. 8.5 mm is a middle size, with enough bead to see into.
