Tiger's Eye Bracelet, Gold — 8 mm

The band of light that slides across each bead as you turn your wrist is called chatoyancy. Tiger's eye is quartz that replaced crocidolite fibre by fibre and kept the fibre direction intact, so light reflects along one line instead of scattering in every direction.

At 8 mm this is the quiet version. The effect is there but it reads as a sheen moving over the strand rather than the hard band you get on large beads. An easy first piece, and small enough to stack with something else.
