Joya Mana collection

Gold-Tone Pendulum, Evil Eye & Hamsa

$15 USD

A six-sided metal point, engraved on every face with suns, crescents and curling vine work, hung from a gold-tone rolo chain. At the other end of the chain — the end your fingers hold — sits an evil-eye charm ringed with small turquoise-coloured stones around a dark blue centre, with a tiny hamsa hand hanging beside it.

What makes a pendulum move is well understood. The swing comes from your own hand: small, unconscious muscle movements known as the ideomotor effect. We think that is the interesting part rather than a disappointing one. A pendulum is a way of making visible a lean you had not quite admitted to yourself. Ask it a question and notice what you were hoping it would say.

Said plainly: this is not crystal. The maker sells it as brass; the maker's own spec sheet lists gold-tone plated alloy, so we give you both rather than pick the flattering one. The small set stones are decorative, not gemstones. The evil eye and the hamsa are old protective symbols shared across the Mediterranean and the Middle East; here they are ornament, and we claim nothing beyond that.

Every piece ships with the Joya Mana guidebook — a short sequence that starts with simply looking at the stone, moves to noticing what you notice, and ends with one intention written in your own words. We make no claims about what the crystal does. We do think an object you return to daily is a useful place to put your attention.
