Green Lepidolite Bracelet — 11 mm

Lepidolite is a mica — a mineral that grows in stacked sheets — and this is the green variety, far scarcer than the lilac most people picture. The stacking is visible: hold a bead to the light and you can see silvery planes lying at angles inside the deep olive, catching and releasing as you turn it.

Mica is soft, around 2.5 on Mohs, so this asks to be handled with some care. Take it off before the gym. That constraint is not a flaw; it is the reason the material looks the way it does.
