Ice Rose Quartz Bracelet — 14.5 mm

Rose quartz is usually cloudy. This is the grade the Chinese trade calls bing nuo — ice-glutinous — where the stone is clear enough to see into rather than only at. The pink is barely there in shade and arrives fully in daylight; hold a bead up and you can read text through it.

Clean throughout, no visible inclusions, at 14.5 mm. It behaves less like an opaque bead and more like a piece of pale glass that happens to have grown that way.
