Larimar Bracelet — 14.5 mm

Larimar comes from one place on earth: a single mountainside in Barahona province, in the south-west of the Dominican Republic. It was not described until 1974. There is no second deposit, and no prospect of one — which is the whole of its economics in two sentences.

This strand is the pale sea-green end of the range, with white cloud drifting through each bead. At 14.5 mm, in a material where clean rough of any size is scarce, the size itself is most of what makes it rare.

The most valuable piece in the collection, and a one-of-a-kind.
