Joya Mana collection

Malachite Bracelet, Chatoyant — 8 mm

$165 USD

Malachite grows in rounded, banded masses — concentric layers of green laid down as copper-rich water moves through rock — which is why a cut face reads as rings and ribbons rather than one flat colour. This strand is the fibrous kind: the crystals are needle-fine and lie parallel, and where a bead is cut across them a band of light travels as you turn it.

Chatoyancy is uncommon in malachite at bead size, because the effect only appears where the fibre direction and the curve of the bead agree. Getting it across a whole strand means someone selected bead by bead for it.

One caveat, stated up front: malachite is soft — roughly 3.5 to 4 on Mohs — and it dislikes acids and prolonged water. Take it off before swimming or washing up, and keep it away from vinegar and citrus. It is safe to wear and safe to handle; it is simply not a stone to polish yourself.

One of a kind — this exact strand, photographed as it is, is the one that ships.

8 mm round beads · fits ≈16.5 cm / 6.5 in wrist · elastic cord, no clasp · natural malachite, untreated · opaque, chatoyant · Mohs 3.5–4 — handle with care

Every piece ships with the Joya Mana guidebook — a short sequence that starts with simply looking at the stone, moves to noticing what you notice, and ends with one intention written in your own words. We make no claims about what the crystal does. We do think an object you return to daily is a useful place to put your attention.
